The Finale of Claude Debussy’s La Mer captures the dialogue between wind and sea, where the energy of the waves and the wind is articulated through low-lying brass melodies and the surging movement of the strings. 

In the opening of the third movement, Debussy conveys a profound sense of awe toward nature, while simultaneously evoking the feelings of helplessness, intimidation, and tension that humans experience in its presence.

To mirror the Impressionistic "darkness", the deep, cold hues of the abyss, the visual gloom of storm clouds, and the sheer weight of the music, I have rendered the overall composition in monochromatic tones.

Within the painting, the unique characteristics of each instrument and their intricate dialogues are represented through various rectangular forms.
